About this Position:
The Assistant Organizational Development (OD)Specialist supports systems and programs related to associate engagement, performance, talent planning, and onboarding and management. This role supports Honda teams across North America helps translate HR tactics into simple standards and processes.
Responsibilities include:
Engagement
- Support post-survey activities including communications and other activities as assigned.
- Support building of electronic surveys to measure engagement and related topics with the use of opinion questions and demographic data.
- Assist annual survey by supporting project scope, deliverables, teams, and schedules.
- And assigned responsibilities.
- Access, prepare, and support internal results sharing.
- Prepare and audit associate data queries.
- Build regular and ad-hoc surveys and apply best practices for survey preparation.
Performance Management
- Support year-end closing events including calibration, merit adjustments, and bonus adjustments.
- Support leaders on process, best practices, advances knowledge of performance management expectations
- Support system administration including PM setup and maintenance.
- Collaboratively supports schedules, communications, and educational content for end-users.
- Queries and reports on process compliance.
- And assigned responsibilities.
Talent Planning & Management
- And assigned responsibilities.
- Provide assistance/support on system functionality and expectations for succession and career development planning.
- Support talent planning utilizing HRIS functionality.
- Provide assistance/support to talent planning and management team to ensure timely completion of succession planning.
- Support scheduling i2i assessments and assist with proctoring and results sharing.
Organizational and Enterprise Change Management
- Produce reports utilizing Prosci or other change management methodology standards.
- Support organizational change initiatives.
- And assigned responsibilities.
- Support basic change management processes through assessment collection and report building.
Support key associate relationships between various companies and sites:
- And assigned responsibilities.
- Establish a trusting and open two-way communication with all partners.
- Support recommendations and on scope and “musts versus wants” for projects.
- Support targeted communication to AHM Business Unit Leaders, Division & Department Managers
- Administer or assist with various functions in the department.
- Benchmark stakeholder needs across departments.
Facilitate associate communication for organizational development needs:
- Collaborate/support communication processes for department.
- Deliver excellent customer service to associates across the region through sound proactive communication and responding to all questions.
- Help OD Team draft and publish content for an organization.

Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- ABILITY TO PLAN, PRIORITIZE, AND MANAGE OWN WORK.
- ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND AS A MEMBER OF WORKGROUPS.
- PREFERRED 1-2 YEARS’ OVERALL EXPERIENCE IN HUMAN RESOURCES OR ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OR OTHER ASSOCIATED EXPERIENCE.
- EXCEPTIONAL INTERPERSONAL SKILLS.
- Desire to learn and develop new skills.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, Leadership, or Business
Desired skills:
- PROFESSIONAL WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
- SKILL IN MS WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, AND OUTLOOK SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS. SUCCESSFACTORS SKILLS HELPFUL
- ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ANALYTICAL SKILLS.
Additional Position Factors:
- Travel: 10-15% as needed - travel to lead and enhance cross-functional collaboration for NA region
