Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Manager – Retail Media Lead


Brand: NYX


Location: El Segundo, California


Reports To: Brand Media Strategist


What You Will Learn


This role will partner with Brand Media Strategist and Retail Teams (Account Leads and Media Account Leads) to support TOTAL eRetail media efforts. Role will be responsible for overall spend, data, content and insights to ensure the best performance of our brand investments aligned with overall brand goals and sales objectives. Goal is to have the view across accounts and have consistency, while sharing best practices.


  • Deep dive into campaign cross retailer view of omni-channel performance to determine media insights and make recommendations for the future. Present campaign recaps and findings monthly to brand and customer team leadership.
  • Understand beauty market and monitor digital trends.
  • Collaborate with the CDMO, agency and individual sales leads in planning, identifying and recommending media investments and optimizations for each brand with each retailer and gain key stakeholder alignment. Will own relationship with CDMO e-retail team.
  • Act as internal expert for retailer.com ecosystem, (i.e., organic and paid interactivity and algorithm impact) and cascade the information in a clear and concise manner. Advise brands on media activation opportunities.
  • Support the creation of the right content aligned to overall National Content aligned with marketing.
  • Collaborate with Brand + Shopper Marketing Teams and Retail teams on campaigns based on Retail Media briefs based on the business objective, media best practices, and historical learnings. Accountable for brand message consistency, cohesion across all consumer touchpoints. Will own the routing of approvals from sales/marketing/media & GM.
  • Lead identification and execute new beta opportunities on the platform.
  • Communicate and own total budget rollup of e-retail as it pertains to e-retail media plans, partnering with finance, VP and AVPS of Sales.
  • E-retail lead will be responsible for briefing retailer and media networks, and support Retail Media Brief.
  • Work collaboratively with counterparts and participate in cross-divisional sharing sessions
  • Manage E-retail Test & Learns in partnership with Sales + Marketing. Will Share learnings across organization.
  • Partner with D2C team for all ecommerce needs – traffic, audience and search
  • Partner with CDMO and Retail teams to optimize campaign’s audience strategy (1P and 2P) and performance based on brand’s consumer target.


Required Qualifications


What We Are Looking For:


  • Experience analyzing performance data and summarizing / communicating findings via reports and presentations
  • BS/BA degree required
  • Experience in Ecommerce performance media a plus
  • Must demonstrate solid experience in pulling, mining, and synthesizing data into stories
  • Agency experience or similar role experience
  • Strong expertise in display, search, and connectivity to national media tactics, understanding the full consumer journey to conversion
  • Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability
  • Ability to be client/retailer facing
  • Must be skilled at executing within tight timeframes with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 2+ years in a media role responsible for managing media campaigns
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive and results oriented thinker who would flourish in an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are championed
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Salary Range: $73k-$102k
