Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:


Under the guidance of the Manager, Mortgage Experience, evaluate the influx of new submissions to the processing pipeline. Identify the appropriate actions to be taken to make sure mortgage requests are being reviewed in a timely manner based on the pipeline volume and needs of the borrowers.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Perform all processing functions in relation to employee loans.
  • Serve as a mentor to the Mortgage Experience Team; share/provide guidance, motivation, and role modeling. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with all team members in a mentor capacity.
  • Perform all processing functions in times of high volume, if needed.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships between closing, post-closing, originations, and processing teams for issue resolution.
  • Maintain working knowledge of PMI guidelines.
  • Continually look for process improvements and make recommendations as needed.
  • Participate in the training and development of Operations staff, including delivery and facilitation.
  • Perform the essential job functions of the Mortgage Experience Processor I as needed.
  • Perform other related job functions or special projects, as assigned, based on business needs.
  • Participate in the process of performance reviews with the Manager, Mortgage Experience.
  • Maintain, communicate, and modify (as needed) the expected minimum performance Standards (MPS) and service standard commitment of the team through regular team meetings.
  • All Mortgage CUSO policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Remain current and comply with:
  • Coordinate consistent coverage for response to Mortgage Experience Processing email group.
  • Monitor loans in any status assigned to the Mortgage Experience team to ensure consistent movement of loans through the pipeline.
  • All federal mortgage regulations (RESPA, TILA).
  • Maintain and communicate all updates to Underwriting guidelines with the team through regular team meetings.
  • Coordinate coverage for team members in times of absences.
  • All Investor guidelines.
  • Inspire a team environment with a culture of open communication. Offer insight into the development of team goals.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Strong oral, written and auditory communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of direct mortgage processing experience that is current and includes various mortgage products such as, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and the Department of HUD, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Possess basic knowledge of Credit Union policies and products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn other software applications.
  • Strong multi-tasking and project planning skills.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to solve problems.


Starting Compensation: $60,329 - $73,903, plus a competitive benefits package
