The Assistant Director of Operations will help to manage projects and procure bids/supplies for the facility. The position will aid the Director of Operations in coordinating outside contractors and construction companies building or performing work on Central Bank Center property. They will be resposible for maintaing the maintenance management software (Micromain) and provide day to day support to department managers. Also, they will assist in building inspections, risk management, safety, and quality control. The position will have other duties assigned based on the needs of the facility


This role will pay a salary of $80,000 to $95,000.

  • Support Operations Department by reviewing work plans and helping to identify and resolve problems throughout the complex.
  • Participate in employee growth and coaching.
  • Aids in developing pre-event department expense estimates for the Event Management Department and Finance Department.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations.
  • Participate in the development and administration of the Operations Department budget; Forecasting of future funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies.
  • Order supplies and materials for building supplies and maintenance within budget guidelines.
  • Maintenance Software system administration (user assignments, inventory, asset management).
  • Assist in coordination with outside construction companies performing work at the facility.
  • Assists in the administration of Stagehands (in house) and other labor groups.
  • Assist in coordination of health and safety compliance using OSHA standards.
  • Represents Operations Department in absence of Director of Operations.
  • Help to build and administer training programs within the operations department. As well as assist managers in program roll out.
  • Assign and track the process of projects throughout the facility under the direction of the Director of Operations.
  • Review procedures and policies for efficiency.
  • Aid department managers in the hiring process as well as disciplinary actions.
  • Acts as co-liaison with University, City and State Services for numerous facility related functions. (City Codes, Fire Safety Codes, Parking, Licenses, permits, etc.)
  • Participate in Capital improvement plans
  • Assists in negotiation and administration of contracts with outside vendors including pest control, scoreboard systems, seasonal landscaping, etc.
  • Works closely with the Event Management Department in the advancing and communicating of event information to the appropriate departments and staff.


Qualifications


  • Ability to work event nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to adapt in a high-paced and occasionally high-stress enviroment
  • Must show demonstrated knowledge of physical plant management, supervisory skills and experience in work crew supervision in facility operations
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in facility operations management


Physical Requirements


  • Frequently works irregular hours and tight time deadlines.
  • Job requires routine standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing and visually checking work assignments in progress and those that have been completed.
  • Occasionally must lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires a full range of body motions including seeing and hearing to normal range.


Working Conditions


  • Work is performed in an enclosed office environment with occasional exposure to outside elements.
