Rehabilitation Center is a 122 bed facility located three miles off the William Natcher Parkway (at exit 26) and rests on the Green River. Conveniently close to hospitals and medical offices, this 122-bed skilled nursing facility offers a variety of comprehensive programs and services such as in-patient therapy and out-patient therapy, Rehab to Home Program on its own floor with 16 private rooms, Quality of Life activities program, Chaplain Program, and a secure unit for dementia care. The facility has a tremendous volunteer base that offers extensive socialization opportunities for the residents. Morgantown's friendly staff is dedicated in helping each resident reach their goals and achieve the highest level of functioning. Essential Duties


Responsibilities


  • Practical knowledge of day-to-day maintenance and facility physical plant upkeep.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to operate various pieces of equipment to include: lawn mower, weed eater, blower, edger, pressure washer, chainsaw, etc.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.
  • Knowledge of health care regulations pertaining to surveys (JCAHO/State of TN) of long term care or hospitals.   • One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience required.
  • Supervise the overall maintenance operation of facility.
  • Management duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training and developing, coaching and counseling, and terminating department staff as deemed necessary.
  • Keep required records and submit to the Administrator when required.
  • Know and follow established safety rules and policies and procedures of the maintenance department.
  • Cooperate with and support other department supervisors and Stakeholders.
  • Maintain the building in good repair and keep free of hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems. Job Requirements:
  • Test emergency generator weekly and monthly as required by State and Federal regulations.
  • Order and requisition supplies and equipment, as needed, within budgetary guidelines.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
