Job Description

The very technologies that are creating a more sustainable future for us — electric vehicles, semiconductors, and solar panels — are built on a foundation of metals extracted from the earth at great financial and environmental cost. ElectraMet enables manufacturing sustainability initiatives that drive a circular economy, reducing dependence on extracting targeted metals from the ground. We do this by delivering a novel electrochemical technology that separates and recovers dissolved metals from process and wastewater streams.

ElectraMet is looking for an experienced Vice President of Operations to join our team. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and oversight of all operational activities for the company. This includes overseeing the product and project engineering, supply chain, and assembly functions.

We offer healthcare, benefits, and competitive salary commensurate with experience. The position is based in our Lexington, KY headquarters. Growth potential in a small but growing company with stock options, bonus, and other benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the in-house assembly team.
  • Represent the company to customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the supply chain and inventory teams.
  • Oversee the project engineering teams efforts to deliver all sold order jobs. This team manages the point of contact for all post order customer interaction and is responsible for the project's manufacturing schedule, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support.
  • Lead the engineering and manufacturing teams to design and deliver world-class solutions to our customers.
  • Set performance standards and metrics and track progress against goals.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company's overall business goals.
  • Work closely with Sales and Finance to ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery of customer jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Direct our product engineering team to deliver customized solutions based on customer requirements and to introduce new products into our portfolio.
  • Develop and manage the team of operations professionals.
  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of production activities.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 15+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience in an OEM environment.
  • Strong understanding of operational principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
