Assistant Controller - Remote | Wfh

Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Controller to lead our accounting department with a focus on delivering accurate and timely financial statements and reporting. You will establish and enforce sound accounting processes, policies, and controls. In this role, you'll also provide vital support to other members of the Accounting team as needed.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee timely month-end close, ensuring accurate and updated reconciliations.
Support acquisition integration and purchase accounting when necessary.
Develop and enhance international business growth and processes.
Ensure state and local tax compliance through accurate, timely filings and registrations.
Assist with year-end audit activities, managing PBC list and auditor correspondence.
Develop and maintain accounting policies and processes.
Cultivate a supportive environment by managing employee performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training.
Undertake ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
CPA license required, with a preference for candidates with public accounting experience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor others.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and 842.
Experience with international operations, acquisition integrations, and consolidations.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.).
Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
