A leading manufacturing company specializing in materials technology with a strong commitment to quality and innovation. Growing company, looking to continue to move forward in revenue, that's doubled in size in the last three years.

• Support the Controller in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions and compliance with internal controls.
• Assist the Controller in overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Manage payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, deductions, and tax reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including variance analysis and performance metrics.

The Successful Applicant

• Experience with payroll processing and knowledge of payroll regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is a plus. Coupa experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
