About The Role
RTM is looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team! The ideal candidate is excited by a C-Suite facing role and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism. You will oversee our Accounting Coordinator, payroll functions, and report to the Director of Finance. We offer extensive, ongoing training and a unique opportunity for both a collaborative and independent work environment.
This role is remote in NY, NJ, PA, or CT with an occasional day in the office.
Requirements
Execute full cycle bookkeeping according to GAAP
Complete various account reconciliations
Document, refine, and implement financial policies and procedures
Ensure all financial transactions are entered timely and accurately in Quickbooks Online
Execute on the order to cash process in conjunction with the Finance Manager
Oversee Payroll Manager on ADP administration and running payroll
Review and reconcile payroll data
Partner with outside Accounting firm on tax reporting, payments, and entries
Prepare Yearly and Quarterly Financial projections and monthly financial performance reviews for detailed discussions with Leadership
Ensure the integrity of the commission’s database and related reconciliations
Assist with updating Qtrly Budget projections
Manage company credit cards, execute payments, and booking into Quickbooks
Manage the daily work and career development of the Accounting Coordinator
Various ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed
Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting preferred
At least 7 years of bookkeeping experience
Understanding of GAAP
QuickBooks Online
ADP/Workforce Now a plus
Excel/Google Sheets
Professional & interpersonal communication skills
Balance and prioritize multiple deadlines at once
