Assistant Composer Jobs

Midwood Music is a dynamic and innovative music production company located in Los Angeles, CA, that is dedicated to creating exceptional audio experiences. As a creative powerhouse, we specialize in composing, producing, and licensing music for various media projects, including films, television shows, commercials, and video games.

This is a hybrid role, implying that the role is located in Los Angeles, CA but some work from home is acceptable. We are seeking an Assistant Composer to support our team in creating exceptional audio experiences. The Assistant Composer will work closely alongside our music composers, producers, and audio engineers on a range of projects, and will be responsible for various tasks including but not limited to, composition of music cues, music editing, writing score sheets, and music research. This is a contract role.

• Proficient in music software such as Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Pro Tools, and Sibelius
• Strong knowledge of music theory and the ability to write and read music notation
• Experience in composition for various media projects, including films, television shows, video games and commercials
• Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
• A bachelor's or master's degree in music composition, music technology or a related field
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow as a musician
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced creative environment
