Employment Type: Part-Time (8-12 hours per week)

  • Puppet Art Theater Co. is a dynamic and creative Touring puppetry company dedicated to entertaining and educating audiences of all ages through the art of puppetry. Our engaging performances and workshops have delighted audiences across California and around the world. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our behind-the-scenes operations.

Position Overview:

As an Administrative Assistant with Puppet Art Theater Co., you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. You will assist in various administrative tasks, helping us to focus on what we do best – bringing puppetry magic to our audiences.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Scheduling and Coordination: Manage and coordinate schedules for performances, rehearsals, and workshops. Liaise with venues to ensure seamless tour planning.


2. Communication: Act as a point of contact for inquiries via email and phone. Respond to general inquiries and redirect them as necessary.


3. Documentation: Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and other important documents. Assist in preparing and proofreading documents as needed.


4. Inventory Management: Track of locations of puppet shows, stages and other equipment.


5. Financial Support: Assist in basic financial tasks such as expense tracking and processing payments.


6. Social Media and Marketing: Support our online presence by scheduling social media posts and assisting with marketing efforts.


Qualifications:


- Previous administrative experience preferred.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).

- Ability to work independently and in a team.

- A passion for the arts and an interest in puppetry is a plus.


Hours and Compensation:

This position is part-time, requiring 8-12 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling. $20-22 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
