Job Description
PathPoint, a leader in providing support services that empower people with disabilities, mental illness, and disadvantages to be valued members of our community, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Simi Valley, CA.


In this role, you'll use your organizational and interpersonal skills to help ensure smooth office operations by taking on a variety of administrative projects. We're looking for a resourceful individual with a "no task is too big or too small" mentality and a desire to use their skills to make a difference every day. This position is based in Simi Valley and also provides support to our Thousand Oaks office. The is a part-time position for 20 hours per week.


Responsibilities


  • Help plan different events including open houses and parties.
  • Assist with different accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, billing, and bank deposits.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies in the Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks offices.
  • Assist with various Human Resources projects, including scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and onboarding new employees.
  • Maintain various databases and e-filing systems.
  • Open and distribute daily incoming mail, assist with large mailings, and maintain mailing lists.
  • Be the first point of contact for all callers and visitors.


Position Requirements


  • Valid driver's license with at least 5 years driving history, a satisfactory driving record, and use of a vehicle with current registration and insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • 2 years of office/administrative experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment Live Scan DOJ fingerprint background check, TB test and basic health screening.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service approach.


Compensation and Benefits Package: $14.00 per hour. Benefits include paid sick time; wellness program with cash rewards; 403(b) tax-sheltered retirement savings plan with employer match; free Employee Assistance Program; and housing assistance.
