Overview
Asset Quality Review (AQR) is a key Risk control function (line of defense) with a high importance in the regulatory environment, AQR is set up globally with main locations in Frankfurt, Berlin, New York, and Mumbai, AQR offers you the opportunity to gain experience in multiple credit sectors/areas. The position is within the U.S. team in New York with a focus on Deutsche Bank’s U.S. operations including the following portfolios: Leveraged and Structured Finance, Commercial Real Estate, Wealth Management, Securitization, Hedge Funds, Corporates and Financial Institutions.
In conducting reviews, you will primarily be assessing the counterparty credit ratings assigned by responsible credit officers; the reviews also include an evaluation of consistent application of rating systems, credit standards and quality of risk management.
The Chief Risk Office function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture. What You’ll Do
  • You can expect to connect & participate in an assigned Credit Risk Management’s watch-list / portfolio meeting
  • You will review portfolio analyses in terms of an assessment function and/or conduct your own
  • Assist in preparing quarterly management reports on AQR’s progress
  • As a team member, you will be expected to assist the Reviewer-In-Charge with preparing final reports to Senior Management
  • Share on any technical credit knowledge and skills that you may possess to other team members for the purpose of cross-training exercises
  • You will collaborate in numerous credit risk reviews, assessing credit exposures within a portfolio with a focus upon the corresponding internal risk ratings and regulatory classification (if applicable), as well as credit process elements
Skills You’ll Need
  • You should have attained at least an undergraduate degree. MBA, CPA or CFA a plus
  • You need to possess strong knowledge of credit risk analysis (including assessment of complex customer groups, structures, and products), rating approaches and related processes, and sound analytical skills
  • You have received fundamental credit risk analysis training and have a sound counterparty credit risk background with relevant work experience in the areas of credit risk management, underwriting, or analysis from the banking industry, rating agencies, regulatory entities or public accounting firms or some combination thereof
Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • You need to display excellent writing and presentation skills (i.e., to present data clearly and effectively)
  • You must be comfortable discussing your findings/observations and making recommendations with the appropriate balance of tact and professional presence
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
