UNMH Psychiatry departments has an opening for Advance Practice Provider in our primary care clinic. We offer full primary care services to our adult patients who also receive psychiatric services within the UNMH system. 5 days a week, no major holidays and no weekends. There is opportunity for cross training with our inpatient medical hospitalist service.

Position Summary:
Function in a specialized area of advance practice in the role of practitioner, mentor, consultant, educator, researcher and manager. Establish goals and priorities in accordance with patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.

Qualifications

Experience:
Essential:
No minimum experience required

Nonessential:
Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo Specialization in applicable area 2 to 5 years experience as a practitioner

Physical Conditions:
Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
