Application Analyst Jobs

Airswift is currently seeking an Application Analyst to work on a 12 months assignment with a major client of ours in Houston.

This person will be accountable for providing technical-based systems support to our client's Marketing and Pricing organization. Their primary responsibility is to ensure excellent customer service through the application of customer support skills, business, and technical knowledge to triage, diagnose, troubleshoot, and escalate or resolve vendor software, as well as in-house developed pricing applications, configurations, processes, interfaces, and add-on application issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying business unit demand for services and resources, provide input to and collaborate with IT Service groups to meet that demand.
• Work day-to-day directly with Marketing and Pricing Business team in order to support various pricing applications.
• Perform analysis of existing application protocols and software tools, recommendations for improved procedures and policies, assistance to users in using and interpreting software tools and products, support in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
• Understanding business processes end-to-end, actively measuring business contribution of enabling systems (functional business system measures) and initiating improvement to the process and/or systems
• Ensure compliance of all security measures in application development processes.
• Building relationships and networking across various businesses, IT organizations and understanding how US Marketing delivers value to our client.

Requirements

• Understanding of Tableau and Alteryx and pivot table platforms
• Basic or advanced knowledge of System Architecture related to Cloud infrastructure
• Basic knowledge of database SQL languages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data management, including gathering and interpreting data from separate systems
• 3 or more years direct experience with Information Technology infrastructure and application knowledge/experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher
• Ability/Willingness to provide day to day 24/7 application support
• Experience in the Energy industry - O&G preferred

Preferences

• Experience providing system support for pricing applications such as the PROS software offerings
• 3 or more years of knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP R/3, SAP BW, Fiori, Business Workflow, Alteryx, Tableau
• 2 or more years of experience in internal and external auditing and SOX auditing and DR work coordination
• 2 or more years of experience in a Marketing, Pricing, Commercial, Midstream operations
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Technology or Computer Sciences or IT related field
