Job Summary
UT Southwestern is in search of an Application Analyst I in their IR Health Systems EMR department. This position will function as: The support analyst for the following Inpatient services units - all units for Zale Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation, CUH services lines for Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, and be a part time Anesthesia support. Secondary or backup support for outpatient services lines, such as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, as well as back up to Epic ABN functionality, facility charging, and integration of the EMR with both internal and external software. The position will service these programs/initiatives at their UTSW campus location as well as all satellite locations spanning from Richardson/Plano, Ft. Worth, Frisco and Plano.
Experience and Education
Required:
Bachelors degree in business administration, computer science or other field with HIT certification.
Previous exposure to healthcare and/or electronic records is desired but not required.
Job Duties
Provide workflow assistance, trouble-shooting and support for mission critical HSIR systems with assistance.
Provide on-call after-hours support.
Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
Participate in system maintenance by utilizing analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation and version upgrades with oversight.
Follow change management procedure for any system changes.
Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
Manage multiple tasks/work on multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
