Position Summary:

This position performs analytic and administrative activities focused on key Risk Management initiatives and participates in the development, assessment, and implementation of the Risk Management organization’s (Crew Medical, Crew and Guest Claims, Litigation, Injury Prevention, Insurance & Claims Finance) strategy.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and manage Tour Operator compliance with insurance requirements, while working in conjunction with third party vendor CheckCOI.
  • Trains operational groups within the department to ensure systems are used accurately and completely, and provides tools to help them manage their business.
  • Understand and uses system solutions to drive department efficiencies and improve safety.
  • Conducts research and analytical studies, preparing reports that include cost analyses, comparative financial data, and informational data to support findings.
  • Prepares continual analysis of the crew wellness program and follows up with the ships and/or Medical Operations team to remedy any identified issues.
  • Prepares departmental presentations and other special projects as assigned.
  • Documenting, evaluating, and auditing overall tour operator responsiveness and incident/comment frequency through ServiceNow, and communicates to management. Provides analytics to management for distribution and follow up internally and externally. Escalates trends and anomalies.

  • Work with management throughout the incident management process. Analyze past incident data and comments for legal cases presented against the company. Track tickets, and investigation and work with account managers and account executives to receive reasonable responses from the Tour Operators.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Able to interact effectively with various levels of management and handle multiple priorities/tasks.
  • Self-motivated, adaptive, proactive, quick learner, and works well with others with minimum supervision, in a fast paced dynamic environment.
  • 2-3 years of related financial analysis or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
  • Able to recognize the existence of problems or potential problems and determine if further research is needed or if assistance is required.
  • Strong technical, analytic, problem solving and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail, yet maintain a big-picture point of view.
  • Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
