Job Description
What You'll Do:
Principal currently has an exciting opening for a Risk Management Analyst in our Trust and Custody Fiduciary & Regulatory Control Group! We are looking for a strong individual to be part of the Fiduciary and Regulatory Team to perform document and system reviews. Also to perform policies and procedural reviews to implement and monitor operational risk that may arise from inadequate or failed internal processes.

A few examples of the administrative account reviews designed to mitigate operational risk:
  • Review/analysis of legal documents.
  • Ensure legal document repository is appropriately maintained.
  • Maintain the log of outstanding exceptions/prepare committee updates.
  • Develop/update administrative account review and codes standards.
  • Review of system coding to ensure it reflects the responsibilities assumed by PCS in legal agreements.
  • Work with partners on resolving identified exceptions.
  • Identify exceptions to account standards.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Draft/review/update departmental and desk policies and procedures, interpret and counsel business partners.
  • Prepare, analyze, research and communicate information to ensure accurate coding for all types of internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining strong internal control environment.
  • Interact with business units to formulate solutions to issues identified during audit/regulatory/risk management/compliance reviews.
  • Ongoing special responsibilities/projects, including stale asset pricing.
  • Work with others on various ongoing initiatives including:new account on-boarding; sales support; mentoring; and regulatory reporting.
  • Liaison for Audit/regulatory/risk management/compliance reviews

Who You Are:

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • 2+ years risk management experience (includes legal, compliance, audit or direct oversight of a business process with accountability for compliance or risk management).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Other skills that will help you stand out:

  • Strong Employee Benefit, and Trust and Custody knowledge as evidenced by 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to work/communicate effectively with business partners/management.
  • Ability to multi-task while under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $51000 - $98400 / year Additional Information:
