The Analyst Relations Manager role includes proactive business development, representing the full suite of Franklin Templeton’s investment platform, via collaboration with our Specialized Investment Managers. In addition, there is a servicing component aimed at retaining current AUMs and leading to cross-sell opportunities within new and under-developed asset classes.
Also, key to this role is a comprehensive understanding of Franklin’s offerings beyond investments (i.e. leveraging Franklin Templeton’s full value chain), as uncovering and addressing clients’ overall business needs is key to long-term partnership success. Collaboration with the National Account Managers and multiple other internal constituents is key to success in this role
What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Analyst Relations Manager?
  • Conduct client service meetings with Affiliate Product Specialists and Portfolio Managers to maintain existing shelf space
  • Partner with relationship account managers to prioritize pipeline and opportunities at each firm
  • Maintain market share, developing strategies to exploit market trends and target market penetration and profitability levels
  • Partner with RFP team to respond to home office requests.
  • Work with home office investment gatekeepers to seek new business opportunities and model placement for Franklin Templeton products
  • Promote the sale and retention of managed accounts, mutual funds, and related investment products for distribution partners
What ideal qualifications would help someone to be successful?
  • 5-7 years of experience calling on research analyst
  • Travel required.
  • Team oriented
  • Established relationships with distribution partners
  • Licensed (Series 7, 63) preferred
  • Flexible, adaptable
  • Exceptional communication and sales presentation skills
  • CFA designation is preferred
  • 10 + years of industry experience
  • Self-motivated and driven
Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to be USD $170,000 – $180,000.
