Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Analyst, NA Commercial Finance role will make an impact:
Analyze and review financial results and business drivers, provide variance analysis, monthly reports, ad hoc reports and plans, for North America. Serve as a finance liaison for various departments. Adapt to a continually evolving environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks both independently and as a member of a team to accomplish goals and meet time-sensitive deadlines. Assist in the development and analysis of the financial plans including Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and forecasts. The position will focus on the daily operations of the group and be heavily involved in month-end close, consolidating/building reports, executive presentations and assisting on requests from North America leadership.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships across the organization. Act as a resource for non-financial personnel on matters of accounting, finance, and analysis.
  • Prepare and distribute key financial reports, narratives, and department/site presentations for North America.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed spreadsheets for financial analysis purposes, as requested. Understand and utilize the system/tools that are used within Finance (SAP, Hyperion, LCM, etc.).
  • Perform various ad hoc requests related to North America as requested.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business including key SG&A spend areas, REMS programs, and contracts/purchase order management, as well as the overall pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of information used in reporting, by thoroughly analyzing conditions, trends, and facts.
  • Assist in the preparation of reporting packages and analysis of the commercial financial performance, identify, and evaluate key business metrics and trends. Analyze actual versus forecasted and budgeted financial results. Provide variance analysis highlighting key business drivers as required for executive reporting, project status and expense status.
  • Work with other Finance/FP&A departments to execute budget and forecast submissions; perform data/system reconciliations as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
  • This position also requires excellent interpersonal skills and confidence sufficient to interact with all levels of personnel within the organization.
  • Must also demonstrate the ability to take initiative, respond to work demands in a flexible manner and produce timely, high quality work products.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2-4 years of experience preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • This role may have remote flexibility. The preference is for the role to be based from a location on the East Coast of the US.
  • Must have the skill sets to build and maintain sound and reliable business relationships.
  • Must possess strong finance/accounting technical knowledge, as well as business acumen. Prior forecasting, planning and financial modeling experience is a plus. Must have advanced technical skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must decision-making capabilities and analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent ability to communicate ideas and analysis effectively to influence business decisions and display confidence and maturity in dealing with all levels of the organization.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $41,000 - $93,000.
