Overview:
The credit analyst is responsible for researching and analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history, and approving or denying extension of credit to potential customers. This team member has contact with other company departments, as well as automobile dealers and other finance and credit sources.Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Credit Analyst- with the possibility of you joining the team as a Level I or Sr I, II.
The credit analyst is responsible for researching and analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history, and approving or denying extension of credit to potential customers. This team member has contact with other company departments, as well as automobile dealers and other finance and credit sources.
JOB DUTIES
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures
- Conduct joint dealer calls with Dealer Relationship Manager (DRM) on an as needed basis
- Perform outbound telemarketing calls to the dealer customer
- Ensure branch office cooperation with other departments to maximize efficiency within the company
- May provide training or assistance to lower level Credit Analysts
- Ensure all queues are worked to acceptable service levels
- Analyze credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit
- Capture automotive finance contracts that meet Americredit/GM Financial profitability criteria for pricing and performance
- Make decisions to approve or deny the extension of credit within set credit authority established by senior management and State/Federal laws
- Develop sufficient dealer relationships that ensure volume objectives and credit quality
- Establish and track monthly goals for assigned dealers, and ensure proper documentation is received on all deals
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:ACF Credit Manager - Zone D US
Knowledge
- Knowledge of indirect retail auto financing
- Knowledge of the retail automobile finance industry
- Knowledge consumer finance and banking environment
- Working knowledge of consumer credit, credit laws and regulations
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of motor vehicle retail installment documentation
- Knowledge of sales, credit and funding processes in consumer finance
- Knowledge of the Company’s credit policies

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- 2-3 years of underwriting, management, or sales leadership required
Working Conditions
- Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers
- Subject to loud noise
- Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be required
- Subject to daily service level requirements
