American Girl Ny - Visual Merchandiser (Part Time/Ptu)

The Opportunity: The American Girl New York City retail store is looking for a dynamic individual as a Full-Time Visual Merchandiser. This position entails new product launches and initiatives, seasonal floor sets, changes to floor due to product availability, daily maintenance of product displays, and adherence to the organization's visual high standards.

This is a 20 hrs/wk. position.

What Your Impact Will Be:

• Maintain the overall visual and merchandising standards of the store consistent with the organization's vision of the brand.
• Stock merchandise when needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing tasks based on business need and to troubleshoot when product availability becomes an issue.
• Create dynamic displays using dolls and complementary product. Keep current on product knowledge.
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative relationships with staff, management, and corporate partners. Provide assistance to customers as needed.
• Assist visual merchandising manager in the execution of display window changes, merchandise changes and planogram layouts, and graphic changes.

What We’re Looking For:

• 1 - 2 years of successful work experience in retail merchandising, retail, or related field which includes expertise in customer service, preferred.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Manual skills in doll styling, straight blade cutting, and minor assembly, preferred.
• Ability to work independently and quickly within a team setting
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Knowledge of general visual principles required with a strong emphasis on construction and detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
