Supervisor: Director of Programs

Salary: Hourly, $15.50 - $18.00 DOE

About NOMV

Not One More Vet (NOMV) will transform the status of mental wellness within the profession so veterinary professionals can survive and thrive through education, resources, and support. We serve every member of the veterinary community with support services including: vet tech students, veterinary students, support staff, vet techs, and veterinarians. We also serve pet parents with education and empathy for the wellbeing of the veterinary teams that keep their beloved pets safe and healthy.


About the Position

The Ambassadors Assistant is a new position within the organization created to provide essential support to the Program Department of NOMV. The Ambassadors Assistant will be responsible for serving as the primary staff person supporting the Ambassadors program. The addition of this position will allow our Ambassadors program to grow and expand serving more veterinary professionals. The Ambassadors Assistant will interact with volunteers and other stakeholders regularly and will be responsible for maintaining schedules, data, and personally identifiable information (PII).

The goal of the NOMV Ambassadors Program is to create and grow local networks to unite and support the veterinary community using the NOMV model. These regional chapters will provide peer support, resources, and education in their local communities.

The program is new, having started in mid-2021. Interest, both nationally and internationally, is high. This program has incredible potential for growth and sustainability as chapters develop and create their own fiscal support networks.

Tasks include
  • Support NOMV chapter events/activities and support the NOMV AAC leaders.
  • Ensure communication to chapters about upcoming NOMV events and activities.
  • Attend NOMV’s annual in person gala/board meeting.
  • Facilitate resource compilation/distribution of NOMV’s List by local NOMV Chapters.
  • Serve as the primary staff person supporting the NOMV Ambassadors program including representing the program at staff meetings, staffing the chapters email inbox, facilitating chapter onboarding meetings, and liaising with fellow staff members on behalf of the NOMV chapters.
  • Coordinate meetings with Ambassador Advisory Committee (AAC), local chapters, and prospective chapters.
  • Promote NOMV Chapters program within the organization and externally to help grow the number of chapters, especially among the international community.
  • Other duties as needed.
  • Maintain NOMV Ambassadors documentation to ensure it’s kept up to date.

QualificationsRequired
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in administrative work.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed. Most of the chapter meetings take place between 5 PM and 9 PM EST.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Google Suite (especially Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Google Slides) required.
  • Must be comfortable learning new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of 1 years work experience in public speaking and maintaining business/professional emails.
  • Must be willing and able to work from home.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed (minimum once a year).
Preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with volunteer coordination is highly preferred.
  • Ability to start the week of August 14th strongly preferred.
  • Background working in the mental health and/or veterinary field is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
