The successful candidate will be able to help craft funding proposals in a clear and compelling manner. Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail- oriented, and highly organized. A high level of computer literacy is required. Candidates must possess an ability to work well under pressure and the ability to seek and synthesize information and communicate in a compelling and succinct format. The Grant Manager will focus on partnership development as well as draft and submit proposals to apply for grants and proposals from workforce boards, governmental and state agencies. Research and identify opportunities from various boards and agencies in order to determine the eligibility criteria and identify grants which are in alignment with the organization’s goals. Strong subject matter expertise and understanding of the nation’s workforce development system, namely WIOA and its affiliated programs. This is the ideal job for someone who is detail-oriented and can focus on the vision of the organization; achievement-oriented and enjoys taking on challenges and has a strong ability to work independently on often multiple projects simultaneously.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual proposal goals
- Follow-up on proposals and respond to funders questions
- Assemble and submit grant requests
- Partnership Exploration and Development
- Prioritize projects to keep multiple projects moving promptly, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals
- Conduct prospect research and maintain a calendar of submissions and other deadlines
- Establish and maintain communication with funding entities
- Ability to learn and understand the difference of each state and regions workforce WIOA rules, regulations, and requirements
- Provide exceptional communication both verbal and written with funding entities
- Create and update notes in Salesforce
- Obtain expert product knowledge in all MedCerts educational courses and programs
- Prepare a number of supporting documents for a proposal, such as cover letter, endorsement letter, document describing how the funds will be used, etc.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High Proficiency in MS Office: Exhibits a high level of capability using Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel to create professionally written, formatted, and delivered documentation and presentations
- Ability to analyze situations, conduct partner investigations, seek clarifications, and think creatively to generate solutions
- Excellent knowledge of proposal submission process
- A minimum of five years grants development experience
- Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects at the same time
- Experience using a CRM software is required – Salesforce preferred
- Ability to work independently, with a sense of urgency
- Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity
- Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources
- Able to adjust quickly and smoothly to shifting needs and company/departmental priorities
- Ability to follow a predefined system, yet flexible enough to adapt to an ever-changing industry environment
- Bachelors degree required
- Proven track records of meeting and exceeding prescribed goals
- Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of the organization

WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a remote position in which work will be completed during normal business hours (approximately 8:30am – 5:00pm).
