Exciting Opportunity: Admissions Coordinator for a Dynamic Healthcare Community!


We're seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our welcoming and supportive George Washington Health & Rehabilitation team. Our community thrives on ensuring a delightful customer experience, and we're seeking a professional who can make the admission process a smooth and memorable journey for our residents.


As an Admissions Coordinator, you'll be the vital link connecting all internal departments, meticulously coordinating each step of the admission process. Your role is not only administrative; it's pivotal in shaping an extraordinary experience for our customers. You'll also manage the all-important data entry into our electronic health record system (CRM or similar system).


Your Credentials:


  • Possession of a current health certificate/examination as required by State Agencies
  • Familiarity with the healthcare delivery system and medical vocabulary or an interest in sales is a bonus
  • 3-5 years of stellar customer service experience in a healthcare setting
  • High school diploma
  • Degrees in health care management, medical social work, or marketing are beneficial but not mandatory


Your Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain up-to-date referral information in our electronic health record system
  • Assist in the planning and execution of engaging community events
  • Admission Coordination:
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Regularly report marketing activities and challenges to the Administrator
  • Ensure admission paperwork is completed promptly and efficiently
  • Marketing/Public Relations:
  • Manage consumer inquiries and convert them into successful admissions
  • Coordinate cross-departmentally to guarantee smooth arrival for our residents, from room readiness to meal preparations
  • Oversee resident room changes and liaise with maintenance and housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for new admissions or transfers
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Build productive relationships with physicians, social service departments, and other potential referral sources
  • Lead Marketing Committee meetings
  • Special Event Marketing:
  • Facilitate understanding of facility policies and procedures to residents and their families
  • Take on other exciting responsibilities as needed
