This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.Responsible for all contract matters relative to specific contracts, from initial planning through project execution and contract closeout for various Business capital projects. Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and monitor the overall management of the contracts. Monitor and evaluate contractor performance. The individual will act as a liaison to the Procurement Department. Ensure continuity and follow-up on the proper execution and charges for contracted work.
Essential Functions:
- Participates on negotiating committees to establish contract structure, price, terms and conditions and other pertinent contract conditions.
- Tracks errors, problems, reworks and aggressively pursues back charges and warranty claims.
- Establishes and executes a strong scope control process to contain out-of-scope charges.
- Communicates and coordinates (is the primary interface) with project managers, project engineers, and other project team members, on contract, RFP, RFQ related matters.
- Working with Project Managers and Procurement, develops contract requirements relative to specific contracts, defines capital contractor performance expectations in conjunction with Project Management and Project Engineering, negotiates with vendors and monitors contract compliance.
- Monitors vendor payments, reducing occurrence of duplicate charges, charges not billable under contract, overpayment errors. Periodically audits contractor invoices.
- Provides administration of contracts including review of rates, schedule of values etc. Works with Project Managers on contract strategy for managing risks and claims.
- Assures good documentation of contract decisions, closeouts and appropriate filing of all documents.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships.
- Carefully monitors the contractor’s subcontracting process to reduce the chances for irregularities.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Ability to work with a matrix team of individuals having diverse disciplines and levels of experience relative to contract issues
- Ability to maintain well organized and easily retrieved files
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including formal presentations
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn computer technology including Maximo, Word, Excel, Access PowerPoint or similar applications
- Ability to represent the Business and Eversource with assertive but tactful authority
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to comprehend the applications of various types of insurance and taxes
- Ability to initiate appropriate actions and to work independently
- Ability to negotiate issues in a manner that achieves successful results
- Basic knowledge of contract administration principles, contracts and the application of contract administration including legal terms and conditions
- Excellent analytical skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of closely related contract administration is required

Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $85,850.00 to $95,390.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
