Job Description

Summary

Broad knowledge of Contract Administration and direct experience with contract negotiations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contracts will be administered in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations and customer requirements.
  • Maintain contract files, prepare for and negotiate proposals, participate in proposal preparation, customer correspondence and liaison.
  • In-depth knowledge of US Government procurement systems, regulations (including export regulations) and statutes required
  • Evaluation of Requests for Proposal/Quotation interpretation of Terms and Conditions
  • Monitoring contract performance and assuring compliance to the contract.
  • Capability to prepare a cogent negotiation strategy and leading a negotiating team is required.
  • Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. Administration of several medium to large contracts at one time with minimum supervision required.
  • Preparation a negotiation strategies and leading negotiation teams.

Qualifications and Education Requirements


  • Experience in USG FAR Part 15 contracts required and experience in USG commercial contracts/subcontracts contracts desired
  • Other relevant experience in lieu of a portion of the direct Contract Administration experience may be considered.
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
  • 4 year degree and 4 years of direct Contract Administration experience.

Preferred Skills


  • The ability to analyze and interpret Terms and Conditions, and explain (both verbally and in writing) such interpretations to company management and legal counsel is required.
  • The ability to logically reason and to choose the best approach from among several alternatives is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to think and reason quickly is a plus.

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.


  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

  • Work is performed in an environment where irritants such as noise from telephones, temperature, and lighting variations may exist, but there is little chance of injury, accident, or occupational health problems.
