Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Student Affairs, the Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Student Affairs is responsible for all administrative functions for the office and in direct support of the Associate Dean for Students Affairs and the Manager of Student Affairs. This position assists, plans, coordinates, and/or executes as applicable various items, including administrative and operational support, student onboarding, student affairs programming, and events, as well as institutional events.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma and 3 or more years of experience.


Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.Prior experience working in an academic and/or health system environment is preferred. Knowledge of Banner, OASIS, and PeopleSoft is a bonus.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to meet expected deadlines while prioritizing multiple tasks and maintaining confidentiality are essential to successful performance consistent with campus initiatives around conscious leadership. Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds; ability to work well under pressure and manage concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions; outstanding analytical thinking skills; completes tasks in an accurate and timely manner; takes initiative when appropriate. Proficient in Microsoft Word and other software or database management systems as required. The employee must use their discretion in organizing their work, compiling confidential information and reports. Responsible decision-making, confidentiality, careful discretion and unquestioned accountability is essential. Ability to possess thorough knowledge of University Policy and Procedures. High level of organizational and coordination skills.
