Job Description

Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina is looking for a team-oriented Administrative Assistant Project Coordinator with strong self-initiative and attention to details to be the firm’s Administrative Resources groups’ representative in the Raleigh-Durham office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with credential registrations, including professional and firm registrations
  • Notarize official documents
  • Assist the Personnel group with Raleigh-Durham onboarding
  • Book staff travel
  • Manage reports
  • Maintain office supplies for the Raleigh-Durham office
  • Support the Administrative Resources Manager in other tasks as needed
  • Assist with and schedule employee badging for access to client facilities
  • Assist the Word Processing group with typing letters and other documents
  • Project administration tasks
  • Set up office/client meetings


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to assume new tasks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and adhere to the firm’s core values
  • Typing speed of 60 words-per-minute
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, with staff at all levels, in written and verbal communication
  • Uphold a strong service orientation and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and office management
  • Must be, or be willing and able to become, a Notary
  • Self-initiative, a positive team attitude, and strong attention to detail and quality
