Job Description
Job Summary/Primary Role: The vision of GO|Construction is to carry out the Great Commission through proper planning and construction of ministry related facilities around the world. The administrative assistant provides administrative, office and communications support, and assists in recruiting and managing volunteers interested in serving with ABWE building projects. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serves as the first point of contact for GO|Construction missionaries and provides a bridge for smooth communication between the missionary and other departments.
  • Assists in preparing, editing, and distributing documents including quarterly and annual reports.
  • Assist in coordinating the GO|Construction Summits & Retreats.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
  • Designs and coordinates regular GO|Construction newsletters and communications for volunteers and missionaries.
  • Works and coordinates with ABWE Communications Department as needed to communicate needs, highlight stories, and other information deemed necessary.
  • Provides administrative and office support for GO|Construction.
  • Creation and maintenance of forms and processes unique to the department to streamline the on-ramping process of volunteers.
  • Maintains and assists in developing the GO|Construction website.
  • Communicates and tracks volunteer requirements through the Clear Travel process.
  • Assist in the mobilization of new short and long-term missionaries interested in serving as part of the GO|Construction team.
  • Serves as the primary GO|Construction contact point at ABWE’s International Headquarters.
  • Maintains both volunteer information and relevant files and records for GO|Construction missionaries in the database.
  • Assists in the mobilization of volunteers interested in serving in ABWE building projects.
Qualifications: Ability to pass background check and all necessary clearances as mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Education: High school diploma or GED Minimum Prior Experience Required: previous experience in an office setting preferred. Necessary Attributes:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a moderate to high noise level.
