Position Highlights:


Position Title: Administrative Assistant


Location: Hybrid – CTDPH (Hartford, CT)


Position End Date: 12/30/2023


Salary: $47,000 plus benefits


Overview:


The CDC Foundation is seeking an Administrative Assistant who is an experienced professional able to provide support for the Connecticut Department of Public Health.


Qualifications:


  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with confidential, health-related data a plus
  • Proficiency using software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat to prepare documents, graphs, slides, presentations, and spreadsheets
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Exhibit a professional and positive attitude and work ethic
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of general office, secretarial, or administrative experience
  • Experience in data entry, quality review, and handling of sensitive information


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare work plans and schedules and interpret regulations and policies
  • Serve as an integral member of the office management team to provide substantive technical administrative skills
  • Identify, analyze, and develop administrative policies and procedures for effective administrative operation
  • Work independently
  • Responsible for clerical accessioning, typing, filing, and preparing written material for distribution and mailing


Special Notes:


This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and Connecticut in order to best support the Connecticut Department of Public Health in their public health programming.


This position is currently a hybrid position. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.
