Job Description

SEEKING A PART-TIME INSURANCE ASSISTANT - $20-40 per hour - 10 hours per week

Are you a self- starter and enjoy performing in a fast paced customer service role? Are you organized, detailed oriented and take initiative? If you answered yes to these questions, then working as an assistant for a Healthmarkets insurance agent may be the career for you.

Competencies Expected for This Role

·Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

·Proven record of successfully resolving customer issues in a timely matter

·Self-starter and able to work independently

·Maintained full responsibility for all administrative activities including records management, data entry, spreadsheet development and file management

·Enthusiastic and motivated to assist customers as well as the agent

·Must be able to work on site with the agent weekdays and some weekends (based on busy season) around 10 hours per week

·Schedule appointment for the agent, identify customer needs and communicate all client transactions to the agent daily

·Able to resolve client issues by working with other insurance companies and brokers regarding terms and conditions of specific insurance policies.

·Monitored policies, endorsements and audits if licensed in health and life insurance

·Received and entered customer payments in the computer along with insurance applications and endorsements.

  • Managed incoming calls and texts from insurance policy owners/holders and assisted with information to questions.
  • Processed loss runs/claim information for policy holders and/or agents.
  • Facilitated policy sales and verified customer policy information.
  • Corrected, updated, reviewed and mailed client/policy information.
  • Provide assistance to all the current and potential customers -- answering questions, resolving customer service issues and providing excellent service.
  • Processed insurance transactions to provide customer service and support efforts to acquire and retain profitable business.
  • Build strong relationship with the customers so that they keep coming back for more business.
  • Provide customer support through directing of phone calls and assisting with questions and problems to help acquire and retain profitable business.
  • Scheduled appointments and managed meeting logistics
  • Developed new method for e- filing life insurance policies which combined all policy information within households.
