Your Opportunity to Make a Difference: Administrative Assistant


Join us at the Supportive Housing Community Land Alliance (SHCLA) as we make a transformative impact on our community. If you have a knack for organization, a passion for communication, and a drive to empower those with serious mental health challenges, we are looking for you!


What You Will Do


As our Administrative Assistant, you’ll be the organizational backbone of our team. Working directly under our Executive Director, your responsibilities will include the following:


Your Day-to-Day


  • Building relationships with vendors and managing their services.
  • Overseeing daily office operations and maintaining our work environment.
  • Assisting in recruitment and onboarding new team members.
  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings for various stakeholders.


Your Impact


  • You'll manage and update our databases, keeping us on track with our projects.
  • You'll assist in coordinating and executing engaging community events.
  • You'll help us communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.


Who You Are


  • You have at least three years of administrative work experience.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of working with diverse populations.
  • You're proficient with Microsoft Suites, Google Workspace and are eager to learn new applications.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work independently as well as collaboratively.


Preferred Skills


  • Bilingual and bi-literate in English and any of the following: Spanish, Chinese (traditional and simplified), Farsi, Tagalog, Korean, and Vietnamese.
  • Experience with implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in the workplace.
  • Passion for community development and supportive housing, with a familiarity with the Community Land Trust model.
