The Administrative Assistant II will provide administrative support to the department of University Recreation. The Administrative Assistant II must be detail-oriented, meticulous, organized, and have excellent communication skills to ensure accurate record keeping and dissemination of important information.


Minimum Education And Experience


Bachelor's degree and five years of office administration or project management experience including two years at an Administrative Assistant I level or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred Education And Experience


Account management and reconciliation. Knowledge of people soft or similar accounting program. Bachelor's degree in business or other similar related field.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Manage membership sales and database
  • Manage student payroll budget/work study hours
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Complete general office duties and responsibilities to support nine full time staff
  • Complete hiring packets, proposals and ePars for all new student employees, assign time managers
  • Attend campus meetings and trainings as needed for up to date information regarding University polices and procedures
  • Some nights and weekends required
  • Utilize e-procurement software
  • Daily revenue deposits and other business operations as needed
  • As needed, host new student employee orientation sessions
  • Review all payroll hours for student employees
  • Reconciling accounts


Additional Information


After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
