- THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION THAT WILL POSSIBLY TURN PERMANENT**
- Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.
- Maintaining a database, ensuring that records are complete and current.
- Recording information, processing, and filing forms.
- Scheduling payments to vendors.
- Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles.
- Preparing checks, deposits, budgets, and financial reports.
- Updating ledgers, researching, and resolving discrepancies.
- Responding appropriately to a vendor, client, and internal requests.
- Ensuring Accounting Department runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Accounts payable.
- Processing work orders.
- Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
- Attention to detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- 2-3 years experience
- Computer literacy and strong typing skills. Experience with databases such as Quickbooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc), Ener G, etc.
- Associates degree or higher in Accounting or a related field is preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- High level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Construction industry experience is preferred
