Departmental Assistance: The following tasks are performed by the incumbent on a routine basis:

  • Maintain Construction in Progress schedules and reconciliations for VP of Construction / Facility Management
  • Assist accountants with data entry or other clerical functions to enable accountants to devote time to assisting department managers in cost containment and other duties
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • Working knowledge of basic computer hardware/software and office equipment; required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; required
  • Prepare standard journal entries and journal entries to reconcile various accounts to subsidiary ledgers, major asset registers, bank statements, and payroll detail
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical skills; required
  • Various account reconciliations including capital assets, payroll & operating banks and similar account reconciliations for all subsidiaries of NMHS
  • College courses in accounting, business, or related preferred
  • Good problem-solving and communication (written and verbal) skills; required
  • Prepare various audit schedules / reconciliations for internal and external auditors Special Projects: Performs clerical duties and other duties as assigned or needed by the Accounting Supervisor or Director to enable the overall function of the department to flow in a smooth and timely manner. Job Knowledge:
  • Maintain the Major Asset Register for NMHS and subsidiaries
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in reconciliation/accounting procedures; required
