COLUMBIA SAFETY IS HIRING A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT!

We are making things happen for clients in high-reaching industries and we are adding an Accountant to our team. We work with clients globally and create the stability needed to exceed our customer's expectations, provide unmatched customer service, prompt delivery, and strive for continued innovation.
The ideal candidate will use personal experience or on-the-job training to learn to anticipate concerns before they arise and they will leverage a thoughtful approach to communication with teammates across departments in order to provide solutions.
This is a high-reaching team that focuses on how to get things done accurately. Our group executes work with efficiency and strategy for the future of our family of companies. As an Accountant on our team, you will be managing day-to-day accounting functions, performing account reconciliations, maintaining certain ledger accounts, and assisting with local business tax reporting.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist with the timely filing of local business tax returns.
  • Maintain the fixed asset sub-ledger including recording all CIP transactions
  • Oversee corporate card accounting, expense report compliance, and travel reimbursement
  • Finalize payables processing and vendor maintenance while achieving KPI targets for payables
  • Administer daily order-to-cash process including invoicing, cash receipts, and reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Work with other departments on strategic initiatives and other ad hoc projects

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
  • Detail-oriented person
  • Self-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency (including functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Table) required
