Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Account Representative will be part of our Business Development Team and will be accountable for managing existing client relationships within their portfolio to create a positive client experience and drive opportunities for increased business. Activities will further include supporting the Business Development Team with cold calling of newly identified potential clients and selecting promising custom synthesis targets.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for driving new opportunities with existing clients to closure and ensuring effective execution internally
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining revenue forecasts
  • Responsible for continuous improvement and streamlining of the client engagement and client onboarding processes
  • Responsible for representing client accounts at the senior leadership team meetings
  • Accountable for the internal alignment, preparation and delivery of SOWs, program amendment orders, and other required contracts
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining client information within established tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Accountable for developing and implementing account management plans for clients in their portfolio
  • Responsible for maintaining effective business relationships with clients, including administration of contracts and agreements
  • Accountable for maintaining strategic relationships (alliance management) with clients within their portfolio


Requirements


  • Background in organic chemistry, analytics, process development, pilot and commercial scale API synthesis is preferred
  • Results oriented and positive attitude with clear and convincing communication style,
  • Basic understanding of the drug development, quality and regulatory approval process and requirements as well as trends in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in successfully coordinating across several complex functions to ensure comprehensive and consistent development, sale, delivery and support of products and/or services
  • Experience with the preparation and delivery of reports and/or presentations
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Science & Engineering (chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, or related fields)
  • Excellent communication skills and networking capabilities to interact with clients and the Biopeptek organization
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong project management methodology and negotiation skills
  • 2+ year experience with development and commercialization of custom manufacturing services and supply of clinical and commercial APIs, process development and other associated activities for pharmaceutical clients
  • Previous experience with CDMO and account management in the field of API
