Job Description
What You Will Do


In partnership with Sales, the Account Management Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales lifecycle for North America retail customers. Working with the Sales Professionals and Account Managers, the specialist would assist with turning customer requirements into quotes/proposal, receiving customer purchase orders, submitting orders and other pre-sales duties assigned. The Specialist will initiate and oversee the various activities to ensure the contractual commitments, including product and services, are handed over to the post-sales delivery teams in accordance with Sensormatic business processes and procedures.


How You Will Do It


  • Participate in sales meetings/conference calls, as needed, both internally and with customers to discuss account needs.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Submission of a valid and qualified order request to Order Entry
  • Work with Sales Professional for day-to-day activities specific to his/her needs. Drive closure/resolution, ensuring responsiveness to customer in a timely manner.
  • Development of quotations/proposals by translating standard job requirements (as submitted by sales pro, engineering staff, or respective Project Manager) to approved products and format. Read, analyze, and interpret general business documents (terms and conditions, technical procedures). Ensure SOX compliance and consistency with business policy and procedures as it relates to preparing and documenting paperwork for JCI and the Customer.
  • Manage processes with JCI’s field organization to ensure accurate and timely contracts and RFPs are met. Respond to and assist to resolve customer’s requests as needed with the service dispatch centers (CRC/RDC). Must actively problem-solve to ensure resolution and avoid escalation whenever possible. When necessary, escalate issues to appropriate JCI team.
  • Develop job booking packages to include preparing of sales related documents; coordination with the account services centers to facilitate the booking process; verification of subcontractor quotes; evaluation of PO/Contract terms and conditions that may be non-standard to contract, notifying and reviewing with the Account Manager and Legal as appropriate.
  • Handle customer requests and inquiries regarding new and existing contracts, invoicing, site surveys, regulatory requirements and account information.


Critical Skills / Core Competencies


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with demonstrated judgment skills
  • Strong product knowledge of integrated systems and security industry required
  • Proficient in MS Office with strong emphasis in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Positive attitude and strong personality to work directly with a demanding customer
  • Strong keyboarding and typing skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Broad proficiency in customer relations, presentations, and sales motivation
  • Strong/excellent attendance history required
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn systems and tools including Salesforce and Oracle Fusion
  • Ability to multi-task and establish work priorities
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong under pressure
  • Proficiency or familiarity in Smartsheet preferred, but not required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with an eye for detail


What We Look For

  • Solid understanding of sales support, sales enablement, and sales effectiveness practices, with a focus on being process driven and able to drive consistency in complex global situations.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred


Knowledge And Skills Required


  • Language: English primary; French optional
  • Ability to balance between competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and respond quickly in an ever changing work environment
