High School (9-12) Business Education Teacher Title: Business Classroom Teacher Qualifications: As determined by the Arkansas Department of EducationReports to: Building PrincipalSupervises: Paraprofessionals and volunteersQualifications: Bachelors Degree, Valid Arkansas State Certification or willing to obtain an Arkansas State CertificationJob Responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge of content, pedagogy, resources, and students.Set instructional outcomes based on Arkansas standards.Design coherent instruction (including lesson plans).Create an environment of respect and rapport.Direct and evaluate the learning experience of the student in both curricular and extra-curricular activities (FBLA).Provide guidance to the student which will prepare for the educational development in accordance with his/her abilities.Maintain a pleasant and friendly relationship with parents.Maintain cordial and workable relationships with colleagues.Engage students in learningUse assessment in instructionDemonstrate flexibility and responsivenessReflect on teachingMaintain accurate recordsParticipate in a professional learning communityGrow and develop professionallyShow professionalismOther duties as assigned
