2023 Fall Intern - Early in Career (EiC) Coordinator - People & Culture (P&C)
Department Summary
As an intern on the global Early in Career (EiC) team, you will have ownership of challenging and impactful projects. You will be a key member of the People & Culture (P&C) organization at Genentech/Roche which encompasses many critical areas of talent attraction, talent pipelining and recruitment. The EiC team delivers on the company’s investment in early talent (internships, fellowships, rotational programs and other entry-level opportunities) for the Americas region (Canada, United States and Latin America).
The intern will support EiC Partners and Specialists in the daily creation of unparalleled EiC experiences that foster development, networking, and build community for Early in Career talent at Roche and Genentech across the Americas (including Latin America (LATAM)).
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on site.
Key responsibilities:

• Support our EiC team and internal stakeholders to ideate, coordinate and support programs, events and initiatives for the EiC community
• Help build out the structure and efficacy surrounding the Intern Hiring Manager and Intern gSite to provide consistency in team communication with stakeholders and across the People & Culture organization including executive leadership
• Help support the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategies and initiatives to build a more inclusive talent pipeline
• Experience creating marketing assets (flyers, campaigns, social media and other marketing resources) for our targeted EiC audience

Program Highlights

• Participate in volunteer projects, social events, and team-building activities.
• Intensive 24-weeks, full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
• Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
• Final presentations of project work to senior leaders.
• Lead or participate in intern committees to design and coordinate program events and initiatives.
• Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, including networking opportunities, workshops, and panel discussions.
• Program start dates are in September 2023.
• Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.

Who You Are

• 6+ months of experience in HR, Marketing or Communications via coursework or previous work experience
• Demonstrated communication, writing, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment in supporting efforts to foster cultural awareness and corporate sustainability
• Student organization and/or leadership experience
• Graduate of a Bachelor’s or Master's degree at an accredited U.S. based university or college

• Social media or marketing skills
• Creative & Innovative - ability to think of out of the box approaches to address challenges (proactively and reactively)
• Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
• Practices self-awareness and resiliency to deal with ambiguity and change
• Able to approach complex problems, organize and drive actionable solutions and results
• Ability to speak in front of large groups
• Spanish language (written & oral) proficiency preferred
• Efficient, organized, and able to pivot to meet short deadlines in a fast paced environment

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of California is $21.00 - $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
