1St Shift Tig Welder

Under general supervision our TIG Welders fabricate stainless steel assemblies for food packaging equipment. We work mainly with 16ga up to ¼” stainless steel. Welders fabricate and weld in their own work station with all consumables provided. Welders will also grind and polish all work to meet standardized requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Follow workplace safety standards.
• Assemble components to strict tolerances and standards.
• Perform any assembly-type functions using hand or power tools.
• Assist team members if needed to meet daily production goals.
• Food grade welding and grinding.
• Assist in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ability to communicate.
• Operate equipment needed to perform the job.
• Safe operation of machines and tools.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certificate in welding from accredited school preferred but not required.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Capable of adhering to Standard Work.
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.
• Good mechanical ability and manual dexterity are essential (able to stand for long periods of time).
• Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Welding hood and work boots required.
