Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Welder to join our manufacturing team in Wahoo, NE. This is a full time employment opportunity offering competitive pay, benefits and PTO during the first year of employment.

Job Summary

Plans, lies out, assembles and welds accessories and special products

Primary Responsibilities

• Applies tack weld to hold assembled parts in alignment.
• Peens and sledges fitting to obtain fit up for welding.
• Uses template, pattern, scribe, etc. to mark and lay out material.
• Adheres to Contech’s Employee Expectations
• Other duties assigned
• Uses cutting torch to burn to precision layout.
• Informs management of needed maintenance operations or supply purchases.
• Receives instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• Tags and marks structure as required.
• Analyzes requirements, plans layout and fabrication details.
• Uses wire brush to remove slag and weld spatter from fitting.
• Completes post shift daily paperwork
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Welds seams completely by electric arc or gas welding procedures.
• Applies paint to welded areas.
• Completes Pre Shift daily audit
• Aligns and assembles structures for welding using crane, cum-a-long, chains, etc.
• Completes production/quality control paperwork

Qualifications

• Welding Certification (preferred)
• Certification on forklift operation (preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
