VIP has partnered with a leading multi-faceted insurance and client services company to aid in their search for a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join their team. As the Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in supporting their financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Manipulate and analyze large data sets to extract meaningful information and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance internal controls, and optimize financial operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, and analysis.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets using Excel, SQL, or other relevant tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary of up to $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, they provide a 6% annual performance bonus.
