Job Description
Overview:
Responsibility for assisting the BSA/AML Department with the daily monitoring of Know Your Customer (KYC). May include monitoring of account activity, detection, and documentation of suspicious activity in customers' accounts and the subsequent filing of suspicious activity reports as required under the Bank Secrecy Act and the Bank's BSA/AML Compliance Program and Procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the identification of Foreign National customers
  • Compliance Program and Procedures as directed by the BSA/AML Officer.
  • Beneficial Ownership quality control
  • Complete CDD Questionnaire review
  • Resolution of CDD/EDD alerts
  • Perform or assist in bank-wide training on KYC and/or Beneficial Ownership initiatives
  • Participate in the customer risk rating process where appropriate
  • Attend BSA training annually, and as needed, based on revisions to the BSA requirements.
  • Assist KYC Officer with Know Your Customer processes
  • The KYC process will entail the identification of high-risk customers during the onboarding process and the opening of a case when warranted.
  • Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidential information are absolutely essential.
  • Attention to regulatory requirements and compliance training applicable to position (Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Information Privacy etc.)
  • Provide other assistance as requested by the BSA/AML Officer in the daily responsibilities of managing the Bank's BSA/AML Compliance Program.
Qualifications:
  • Familiar with federal BSA / AML regulations.
  • Spreadsheet
  • 2-3 years Banking/Compliance experience
  • Familiar with bank operations in general.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and organized
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Must be customer service and detail oriented.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Word processing
  • Computer skills
  • Verafin, JHA-SilverLake, BSA/AML Experience a STRONG plus.
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Analytical ability required in order to gather and interpret data in situations where the problems are complex.
  • Self-motivated
