Create and manage local and central lab queries (10 % Time)

Experience: Minimum of 5 years, 2 years desired in Pharma/Biotech

Review local and central laboratory data to ensure it is correct, complete and consistent using documented procedures and guidelines (70% Time)

Reconcile central lab data against eCRFs (15% Time)

Proper storage, inspection and management of Hazardous Waste following Site procedures and RCRA regulations.

Provide support to the plant operators, plant engineer, and management when needed.

Support the department’s energy management system ISO 50001, serve as backup energy manager

Managerial and leadership experiences in Quality related field.

High degree of knowledge and experience with analytical instrumentation and online process instrumentation.

Perform and be knowledgeable in various SAP transactions that affect raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

Working knowledge and frequent utilization of common word processing, data management, and graphics software packages.

Provides direct supervision and support for laboratory staff, maintains adequate staffing levels and manages technical operations of the laboratory.

Develops and implements policies and procedures for the research laboratory.

Helps grant applications and serves as the contact person for the funded grants.

Maintains accurate and timely laboratory budgets and financial reports.

Places and keeps track of all the purchasing orders.

Responsible for ensuring the lab maintains the highest quality standards and compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g. CLIA, ASHI, etc)

Be able to perform bench testing or on-call assignments when needed

Write, review, and edit protocols and procedures; maintain procedure manuals.

The range is between $39.58hr-$53.21hr depending on experience.

Act as EH&S Officer, ensuring compliance with training, inspections, and chemical waste management

Implement inventory management best practices and act as inventory manager for R&D team

Drive and manage equipment maintenance efforts for the R&D team, ensuring each team member is compliant with lab & safety policies

Manage lab resources effectively and actively seek out process improvement opportunities.

Experience managing inventory & implementing processes

Analytical and problem-solving skills and agility to move at a dynamic pace

The position will provide lab management in ordering, maintaining equipment and lab manual in addition to other basic administrative support.

Managerial experience in a group setting.

Preferred experience in molecular biology, protein expression, tissue culture and Flow Cytometry.

Phlebotomist certification preferred, not required.

Knowledge of how to maintain a lab notebook and follow protocols.

Experience in maintenance of safety protocols and human subject research protocols.

Project management and NIH grant submission experience. Familiarity with federal and state grant rules and processes.

Outstanding organizational and time management skills, able to set up work-flow processes, prioritize, and particular attention to detail.

Management level administrative support experience.

Prior software implementation and project management experience.

Demonstrated administrative success with proven ability to analyze, interpret and apply management principles and practices for a large, multi-disciplined organization.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

6+ years of lab management experience or postdoc who has managed scientists, experiments, and budgets

Knowledge of hardware/mechanical engineering, chemistry, and/or molecular biology
