Perform a wide variety of clerical duties that requires independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations.

Serve as the first-line contact with visitors and callers to Pennington Biomedical Research Center.

Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, postage, and preparation of large bulk mail-outs.

Serve as assistant to facilities administration staff to include orders, invoices and related paperwork.

Enter requisitions, purchase orders, expense reports and other information into database.

Minimum 1 year patient scheduling experience preferred

Exceptional interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus

Strong computing and software skills (PC, MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Assists in auditing applications of Amended Permits to Drill for Minerals to insure that proper feeds have been paid;

Interfaces with Production Audit Section to ensure proper reporting of production and movement of oil and gas;

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Acquires and maintains thorough knowledge of state purchasing regulations and agency policies related to purchases.

Coordinates the purchasing of goods for the agency.

Reviews submitted purchase requests and researches for best quality and price of goods requested.

Coordinates with HR to determine if purchases are ADA-related and/or in compliance with ADA laws.

Obtains information from the Metastorm system to make agency purchases.

Assists with responding to internal audit and legislative audit staff regarding the agency's compliance with purchasing rules and regulations.

Contribute to the college and discipline by collaborating with others and offering your service to the college

Teach the equivalent of no less than thirty (30) credit per academic year for the contract year (fall and spring semesters)

Maintain a minimum of 10 office hours per week
