Job Responsibilities And Essential Functions Of The Position

Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities, including practice planning, travel logistics, and recruiting efforts.

An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.

Assist with the administration of the baseball program as determined by the head coach.

Assist with adherence to the program’s operational and recruitment budget.

Understand and follow the rules, regulations and protocol of the University, GLVC and the NCAA.

A strong understanding of the game of baseball, including rules, regulations, and tactical aspects.

Primary duty/responsibility is teaching, mentoring, instructing and imparting knowledge, to student athletes, as a part of an athletic team and program.

Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding “the why” behind KidStrong curriculum and have strong public speaking skills

Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT, teacher or personal trainer is a plus, but not required!

Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred

Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on KidStrong curriculum

Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics

Positive, motivating and effective interpersonal communication skills

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

3 – 5 years experience playing and/or coaching baseball at the collegiate level.

Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community.

Experience working with students as a camp counselor, tutor, or in a similar role

Live coaching sessions where you will guide students on using learning apps effectively, discuss proven best practices, and provide success strategies

Offline coaching where you will review and troubleshoot ineffective live sessions, helping refine students' learning strategies by making more in-depth recommendations

Provide clear and honest feedback on performance metrics to students, reinforcing their accountability

Traditional teaching or tutoring: Our learning model revolves around technology and promotes independent learning

Performing deep dives or process improvements: You will focus on providing students with actionable strategies

Demonstrated leadership skills including recruiting, performance management, and conflict resolution are essential. Training in de-escalation techniques preferred.

Support Club Manager in supervising club with efficiency and effectiveness to support the direction consistent with the Agency’s strategic plan.

Responsible for supporting Club Manager with establishing and maintaining program curriculum.

3-5 years’ experience working directly with youth and young adults is strongly preferred.

Experience working with community groups and coordinating fundraising activities is desired.

Provide direct care supervision of youth during all aspects of the daily routine, monitor school attendance and progress, assist with homework/tutoring.

Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

Assist with the management of College-hosted NE10 and NCAA events.

Home game management duties for other sports as assigned while out of season.

Assist the Head Coach in implementing a training program that advances individual skill development and team performance.

Manage all opponent scouting reports, including preparing a written template and film edit for each opponent.

Minimum of two years' experience coaching at the college or high school level

Child Welfare Case Manager Certification

A Bachelor’s degree in a Human Service discipline and 2+ years of experience working with young people

Possess a current Background Clearance Screening Letter.

Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the agency’s current insurance carrier if using a company automobile.

Assist with data entry, collection, and management for Cityspan and other DFSS-designated platforms

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Human Services, Education, or related field experience preferred.

Ensure applicants meet program eligibility requirements.

Ensure applicants are successfully matched to a worksite that best fits their skill sets and interests when possible.

Facilitate weekly job readiness workshops, financial literacy workshops, and work readiness skills assessments, and administer the Working IMPACT assessments.

Reports all suspected cases of fraud, work abandonment, or misconduct by an employer or employee to the Manager of Workforce Development.

Extensive knowledge and skills in budget development and management

3 or more years of coaching experience in Intercollegiate Athletics at the NAIA or NCAA level.

May coach/manage a designated skill development area or group of positions.

Competent knowledge of sport specific techniques, skill development and game planning.

Coach/instruct team members individually, and in groups, and demonstrate sport related skills and techniques.

Evaluates individual player skill performance and provide instruction in areas of deficiency as required.

Reviews video to evaluate skills and determine needed areas of development.

Teaches classes in the elective Physical Education program.

Does this position have a bilingual or multilingual skill requirement or preference?

Previous college-level experience in playing or coaching organized baseball.

Knowledge in fund-raising and recruiting.

Ability to use sound judgment and critical thinking skills when determining students’ needs.

Ability to apply knowledge of college and NJCAA policies and procedures.

Baseball coaching experience on the college level.

Will have general knowledge of assigned sport including rules and regulations.

Has the ability to handle participants, team managers and/or coaches under difficult game situations.

Prefer at least 1 year of experience in assigned sport area through athletics, teaching, coaching or competitions.
