Trailer Mechanic Technician 1St Shift Jobs

Must have at least 2 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance.

Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer

Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required

Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles

Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance

Experienced technicians can start at $32.35/hour, including night shift differential

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

New, modern equipment to work on in clean shops

Previous laboratory experience is required

2+ years of experience working with HMIs.

3+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues of Industrial equipment.

2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/ programming.

Experience with technical support of robotics.

Experience with automation for ammunition or explosive-rated equipment.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Knowledge of mechanical, refrigerant, and electrical systems.

Experience in food processing, preferably perishable goods.

Associated Degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience

Interprets test results and examines for unusual characteristics.

Troubleshoots procedures that may have been compromised, thus determining the potential cause of unexpected results of routine tests.

Communicates with customers and appropriate technical staff regarding testing schedule information, results, or unanticipated discoveries.

Writes procedures, conducts validations, and writes technical reports.

Coordinates, schedules, and budgets for procurement of outside testing: environmental, mechanical, etc.

Previous mechanical, carpentry, or technician experience.

Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform quality maintenance and repair of trailers.

Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of trailer equipment to specifications as assigned.

Read and understand job orders ensuring corrective action and the documentation of repair processes to company standards.

Assist other mechanics on work orders/jobs requiring assistance.

Working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting Hydraulics, Air Conditioning, and Diesel Engine applications.

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

Experience working in and around mechanical equipment, preferably in a food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical environment

High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills

Perform all Preventative Maintenance as required

Interprets blueprints and schematics and basic understanding of electrical circuits and PLCs

Expected pay range: $27.15 to $34.29 per hour. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.
