About The Role
Supports laboratory customers and technical support staff by offering laboratory testing and services in all laboratory areas: metallurgical, environmental, chemical, scanning electron microscopy, reliability engineering and microbiological.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Interprets test results and examines for unusual characteristics.
- Schedules purchase of laboratory supplies.
- Provide routine laboratory tests in the metallurgical/mechanical, chemical, scanning electron microscopy, reliability engineering and microbiological areas, in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
- Analyzes, reviews, and documents the status of lab records for archiving.
- Coordinates, schedules, and budgets for procurement of outside testing: environmental, mechanical, etc.
- Troubleshoots procedures that may have been compromised, thus determining the potential cause of unexpected results of routine tests.
- Communicates with customers and appropriate technical staff regarding testing schedule information, results, or unanticipated discoveries.
- Administers the flow of test requests, from logging in through filing and archiving.
- Writes procedures, conducts validations, and writes technical reports.
- 1 years of experience
- Associated Degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience
